November 19th, 2014

Kona Brewing Company’s Brewery Block in Kailua-Kona continues to develop new nightlife options on the Big Island with two upcoming events.

Hoobastank returns to Hawaii for a concert at Kona Brewing Company's Kailua-Kona location in December.

This time, O.N.O. has partnered with Hawai’i Fashion Month to feature the work of the following Big Island-based designers:

» Indigo Sage

» Kai Ea Jewelry

» Sea Swept Hawai’i

» Alohiwai

In addition, Rydix Drag & Grind will present a classic car show to go with a skateboard half-pipe and live musical performances that are also planned. Kona Brewing and other food and drink vendors will keep people full and happy, while students from Mele Murals will paint live during the event and collect donations to support the arts advocacy group.

O.N.O. Kona will take place from 6 to 11 p.m. Saturday at the KBC Brewery Block, 74-562 Pawai Place. Admission is free; VIP packages are available for $30. Email O.N.O. Kona for more information or follow them on Instagram.

ALSO COMING UP in Kona is the return of Hoobastank to Hawaii on Dec. 5. The Los Angeles-based band will headline the night, with opening band The Darkroom on stage at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $39 general admission and $59 VIP, which includes early entry into KBC’s Brewhouse Oasis, drink vouchers for Kona brews, a limited edition Hoobastank commemorative poster and pupu buffet.

Doors open at 6 p.m. for the concert; purchase tickets online or in person at Soundwave music and KBC’s retail shop and Growler Shack.

“I can’t wait to see how the fans respond to our tropical venue for Hoobastank and The Darkroom,” said Hawaii Restaurant and Retail Managing Director Mattson Davis in a release. “We are honored to be providing the aloha as their tour brings them back to the U.S. This will mark the fourth show at the Brewhouse Oasis for us this year.”
